Theater group Clowns of Shakespeare comes to São Luís do Maranhão
Sponsored by the Culture Program BNB - BNDES in 2012, leaderd by Viviane Queiroz, the theater group potiguar Clowns of Shakespeare comes to São Luis to present a mapping of the theater groups of the nine northeastern states. The director and researcher Fernando Yamamoto is who does the project called Mapping the Group Theater in the Northeast, which aims at reconciling the lived experiences of each group mapped and strengthening of theatrical production throughout the Northeast.
The result of the survey was a publication, divided into three volumes, and a portal: the Teatronordeste. The book features in each volume, the characteristic three northeastern states, tracing the panorama of about 110 formations theater group, dominant mode of production throughout the Northeast, and present the contents of more than 50 personal interviews. But the portal Teatronordeste will gather information from all groups surveyed, functioning as a continuous space of reference on the northeastern theater.
"This is a project that involved the Clowns during the last three years, circling the Northeast, finding and interviewing the groups, trying to draw this map of northeastern batch production. Though geographically vast, and many states in the diversity of experiences could find common traits in these collective experiences. believe this project offers a contribution to those who study, do or simply interested in theater, as this scene may point out the similarities and differences between these different trajectories theatrical, "says Yamamoto .
The Clowns of Shakespeare Group was founded in 1993 in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte and has developed work, especially of theatrical research focusing on building the scenic presence of the actor. In resume, the group has interests in lists shows in over 80 cities in 21 different states, 05 regions in the country, as well as some of the most important festivals in the country, as the FIT - São José do Rio Preto, Contemporary Scene ( Brasilia), shows Latin American Theatre Group (SP), Latin American Festival of Theater of Bahia, Curitiba Festival - Official Shows, International Theatre Festival of Londrina (PR), among others.
After passing Salvador and Natal, this time with the project Mapping the Group Theater in the Northeast, the group arrives at St. Louis on Thursday, 18, at the Teatro Alcione Nazareth, from 15h, with programming that will count to forum roundtables and the launch of the project results.
